Craft Fair #3

I attended my 3rd craft fair last weekend at a local high school hosted by the St. Louis Rotary club.  It was the biggest one I've done (booth and traffic-wise), but I signed up a little late...2 weeks ago to be exact...so the spot I got wasn't that great.  There are people who sign up for this thing a year in advance, so you can imagine what I bad spot I got!  There was a huge gym area (which is where most of the 250 booths were).  Then...there was the cafeteria, where there were about 15 of us.  I was in the back corner :(  I did make a lot of sales on Saturday...people loved the Cardinals shirts and taggie skirts!  Sunday was a bit slow, but still made a few sales.

It was a busy last couple of weeks, just making sure I had enough stuff to bring with me to sell.  And when I sold out of almost all of my skirts and shirts on Satuday, I stayed up really late making more for Sunday.  I only got about 3 hours of sleep that night :(

My mom pretty much had the kids all weekend, while my husband and Dad did a lot to help me with the heavy lifting and brought me food and stuff.  I even had some friends come by to say hi, and one even brought me cookies!  Thanks, guys!  Overall, it was a busy and tiring weekend, but I had a lot of fun manning my booth and seeing the positive reaction to my creations!

Here's a couple pics of my booth.

Let's get it started, Cardinals fans!

I can't believe that Spring is here!  The weather has been so warm and so beautiful here in St. Louis.  And you know what that means...baseball season is starting soon!  Specifically, CARDINALS season!  Amylou has been doing its own preparations for the season.  Check out our new Cardinals logo applique shirts.   The logo can be put on any onesie or boy t-shirt as well, and with or without polka dots.

And here's one in pink in a larger toddler size.

And to match the adorable shirts, something I've been wanting to make for a while now, and finally just figured out a good design for them - Taggie Skirts!  Here's a taggie skirt to match the red Cardinals shirt.  I have a couple different styles of skirts that can be embellished with ANY combination of ribbon colors (including a pink one to match the second Cardinals shirt shown above)...this is just one example.  I'll post some more options soon.

I line the insides of the skirts with satin ribbon so they're super soft on your little one's skin, and there's no scratchy ribbon edges rubbing against her legs.

I have also been making taggie baby blankies!  One side of it is fleece, and the other side is supper soft minky fabric.  Every edge is lined with taggies, all different sizes, textures, and colors - which babies LOVE to look at and play with.  Here's a completed Cardinals one.  The minky side can be done in white, yellow, or red as well.  I have a couple other sports teams and some other adorable baby patterns in the works too. Stay tuned!

These products are currently only available via special request on my Facebook page due to the wide variety of options for each one (sizes, colors, styles, etc).  If interested in ordering one, come "like" me on Facebook and convo me on my wall, comment on a picture, or message me. http://www.facebook.com/amyloubaby
